Dr. Jasmeet Bains is continuing to amass a steady stream of endorsements in her campaign for re-election, with the Bakersfield Police Officers Association (BPOA) endorsing her today.
“We need Dr. Jasmeet Bains to continue standing up for the safety and well-being of our families, neighborhoods and communities,” said Keith Schlecht PAC Manager of the Bakersfield Police Officers Association. “We are facing many challenges and Dr. Bains has the guts to stand up for our children, our small businesses, and those who put their lives on the line every day to keep us safe. Bakersfield’s police officers are proud to stand with Dr. Bains for another term in the State Assembly.”
Representing 450 members, BPOA is dedicated to protecting and serving the City of Bakersfield, and its members are committed to our community both on-duty and off-duty, and frequently support local and national children’s charities.
Dr. Jasmeet Bains said, “What an incredible honor to have the support of the Bakersfield Police Officers Association. BPOA has been a force for good throughout Bakersfield, and I am proud to have their support. In my next term in the Assembly, I’m looking forward to building upon the strong working partnership we’ve developed to ensure our families and neighborhoods are safe, and that we end the scourge of fentanyl, retail thefts, and gang violence that has impacted our community in such devastating ways.”
BPOA’s endorsement is significant and comes on the heels of the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC), the Kern Law Enforcement Association (KLEA), and others in throwing their early and unequivocal support behind Dr. Bains’ campaign for re-election. Their endorsements demonstrate that Dr. Bains is the clear choice for public safety.
The primary election will be held on March 5, 2024.
