Dr. Jasmeet Bains has secured yet another key endorsement, with the California Association of Highway Patrolmen (CAHP) coming out in early and unequivocal support of Dr. Bains’ re-election to the 35th Assembly District, her campaign announced today.
Rick A. LaBeske, President of the California Association of Highway Patrolmen, said: “The California Association of Highway Patrolmen is proudly standing behind Dr. Jasmeet Bains’ re-election to the State Assembly. With the fentanyl epidemic, gang violence, child trafficking and retail theft impacting our communities every day, Dr. Bains has shown she has the courage to stand up for families, children, and communities across California. Her unapologetic leadership in supporting our officers so they can do their jobs has helped make California safer, and we need her in the State Assembly.”
CAHP officially represents over 13,000 current and retired California Highway Patrol officers and their families, as well as the spouses and children of officers killed in the line of duty.
Dr. Jasmeet Bains said: “As someone who has a great deal of respect for our public safety heroes, having the support of the California Association of Highway Patrolmen means a lot to me. I will always stand up for public safety to ensure every family can live in strong, vibrant neighborhoods, small business owners can operate free from the fear of smash-and-grab robberies, and our children can play in streets safe from the threat of fentanyl. I know that together, CAHP and I will continue championing the issues that will hold perpetrators accountable and keep Californians safe.”
CAHP joins a burgeoning list of public safety organizations who have endorsed Dr. Bains’ re-election to the State Assembly, including the Peace Officers Research Association of California (PORAC) and the Kern Law Enforcement Association (KLEA), demonstrating that Dr. Bains is the clear choice when it comes to keeping all Californians safe.
